Cannabis will soon be legal in the ACT

On January 31, 2020, there are some important law changes in Australia’s Capital Territory (ACT). If you are over the age of 18 you’ll be able grow cannabis plants (up to four of them), collect up to 50 grams of dried bud, and use it as you like within your own home for your personal use (provided there are no children around). This is a landmark change in Australia’s cannabis laws, as other countries such as Canada, the US and New Zealand have legalised ol’ ‘Merry Jane’ over recent times. There’s obviously still restrictions around its use (like not selling your pot, smoking in public, and not driving under the influence of THC, etc)- you can check out what the ACT government has to say about it here
